Trinidad and Tobago beat Cobras to march into CLT20 Finals

Cape Cobras, News, Trinidad & Tobago | October 22, 2009 at 1:38 pm

That is another win for Trinidad and this one is the one that matters quite a lot. It was a clinical batting display from them. They got the runs at a good rate and kept up the rate despite losing wickets. Dwayne Bravo had not fired well enough in this tournament with the bat and he decided to do it today. Superb effort and T&T storm into the finals.

PRESENTATON
Darren Ganga: Tough luck for Cape Cobras. This is very important for all of us. We were quite comfortable with the target that was set to us. We always knew that we had the game in our hands. Dwayne played a fantastic innings. The fact that there was still a lot of batting gave us a lot of confidence to go for our shots. If we can complete the job tomorrow, then the carnival will start.
Andrew Puttick: Might have been a different story had we grabbed the chances. Trinidad was certainly a shade better than us tonight. We were very much happy with the score that we got after batting first. We had a great time playing in this tournament in India.
Dwayne Bravo: I wanted to bat the first couple of overs and get the eye in. We knew that Keiron Pollard and Ramdin can get the runs at a good rate. It was a good batting effort indeed
Dwayne Bravo is the Man of the Match

Final Scores:

Cape Cobras: 175/5 (20.0 Ovs)

Trinidad and Tobago: 178/3 (19.2 Ovs)

Result: Trinidad and Tobago win by 7 wickets
